I had my first macaron in a wonderful land... *cues magically background music* In the Land of Oz! :D Alright, I had my first macaron in Australia. It was my sister's mission to let me taste the goodness of a macaron and clear up my thoughts and wonders about it. One night, we sneaked out together after dinner and walked to a dessert parlour nearby. This is it! I thought at that time, excited.
We settled down at a table upstairs. The place was furnished with many beautiful lights, filling the area with a peaceful ambience. I love how our faces glowed under the dim, orangey lights. *sighs*
I waited patiently for my Macaron Flower Pot to arrive. Finally, it was time I let my teeth sink into the deliciousness of a macaron! :D My doubts will be cleared soon and the mystery of the whimsical macaron will be revealed at last. TROLOLOL, like CSI. xD
My sister's friend chose this. SO ADORABLE. The rainbow-coloured thingamajig causes little explosions in your mouth!
ME AND MY FIRST MACARON DESSERT. I get so excited every time I see this, hahaha.
Seriously, heavenly betul whey. 8D...So, that was my first macaron experience. So satisfied now, I think my lifelong quest has been fulfilled at last, LMAO. Oh, and Su Li, this is for you :
My sister's mission did not end there; she wanted to take me to a dessert shop where they served PURELY macarons and macarons ALONE - The Mac Factory. Fuyoh, I was damn excited. The next day, we set out early as the place was quite a distance away. Nevertheless, I walked the distance for I know I have a newfound AIM in LIFE. LOL. At last, we'd arrived at the magical land. It was situated above the post office.
There it is. :DHowever, luck was not on our side that day. It was a Wednesday and a real disappointment - they're only open from Thursday to Sunday. :(
WHAT A BORE. NO FATE LAH. :(((Sigh, sad lah. But NVM, at least I got to eat macarons somewhere in Adelaide before moving on to Melbourne. :) Yes, I'm being grateful of what I have. :D Anyway, the day we returned home was also the day my sister surprised me. SHE BOUGHT MACARONS FROM THE MAC FACTORY JUST FOR ME. :O Gosh, the trouble she went through... I just can't imagine. Thank you so much, Ru Xuan!

Ginger flavour (top right), strawberry flavour (top left), bubblegum flavour (bottom right; shiny blue shell, FTW! :D) and peanut butter flavour (bottom right).
Yummy ginger-flavoured macaron. :9Well, this was my quest in search of macarons to nom. My pictures of the macarons aren't that nice lah but at least I get to have my first macaron in a different country. #likeaboss Now, I fully understand the mysteries of the macaron, yay! I really thank my sister for that. Ru Xuan, I love you, haha. Ahhh, my life is complete. For now, HAHAHA.
