Whenever we got engaged in a really interesting conversation, my parents just HAD to change the topic and make the situation so awkward. Here's one good example of a weird conversation I'd gone through recently with my parents...

Mum : Sooo... Do you like anyone? (stares)
Me : What?
Mum : Do you LIKE anyone?
Me : Define "like".
Dad : Like, as in do you fancy any guys from your school? Kwang Hua or Sri KL, that doesn't matter.
Me : You mean like, like like?
Dad : Okay, have you ever liked anyone before?
Me : Uhhh, of course not.
Mum : Last time? No? Never? EVER?

Me : Why are you guys even asking me these questions? -_-
Mum : What kind do you like? Funny, nice, handsome...
Me : O_O'''
Dad : Or easygoing, fun, studious...
Me : Studious, of course.
Mum and Dad : ._.
Me : Whaaat?
Dad : Weeell... Wouldn't that be a tad bit boring?
Me : Why?
Dad : Because both of you would then have the same personality.
Me : Oh, so you're trying to say I'm boring? (glares)
Dad : NO! Not at all. (silence) Ah, my daughter is so pretty. (stares and smiles)
Me : -_-

See? Get what I mean? This serves for a mega sweat face.

-_-

Oh, and BTW,

Blessed birthday, Lee Bird Jiu! :]

Best friends of 2011, eh? *winks*
