I knew there were three quizzes that we were going to be tested on today - Add Maths, Maths and Accounting - so I should be studying and revising yesterday, right? But, NOOO. Ru Min who thinks she is so damn smart glued herself in front of the TV and watched Chuck the whole night. And this morning, before I went to school, I confidently (or maybe TOO confident) told my mum with a smug smile, "Chill, mum. The tests are going to be SO easy. I know EVERYTHING!"
When the Add Maths paper was handed down, we were only asked to do four questions. I mean, FOUR questions? In 45 minutes? *snorts* It's like asking me to finish a slice of apple pie in an hour. SERIOUSLY, was 45 minutes even necessary? *rolls eyes*
Sadly, it was.
It took me about half an hour before I finished my first question. Yes, the FIRST one. WHAT? IT WAS HARD! D: I was scribbling like mad on the foolscap paper and in the end, I DIDN'T GET THE RIGHT ANSWER. Like, WTH! >:O I scrunched up the paper
I paused a while when I was doing the second question, but it wasn't as hard as the first. The first one was really like shit. >:( And when I reached the third one, HALLELUJAH! So freaking easy, even a baby could solve it! :D I think God wrote that question just for me just so that I can gain more marks. Thanks, Lord. :] And then, "Times up, pens down." Fine, I shall just leave the last question. I read the last question and really wanted to slap myself. DAMN EASY! >:O Should've just skipped the first question and finish the rest!
As far as I know, three of my classmates managed to finish all of them. I was very pissed at myself until I almost dug my own eyeballs out. >8( BTW, the 8 symbolises empty sockets. -_-
NVM, Add Maths, I still love you! :3
Next, Maths. We thought it was a quiz but it wasn't. LOL. Finally, some air to breathe. The teacher allowed us to discuss and refer to our notes and textbooks. Woohoo, awesome! :D But if you think about it this way, there wasn't any excitement lah 'cause I'm sure everyone didn't have a hard time finishing it. No kan-cheong-ness. :/
And Accounting! I LOOOVE ACCOUNTING! :D It's fun counting money 'cause I LOOOVE MONAYYY! $_$ (Don't burst my bubble by telling me that I'll be counting someone else's money lah, please. ==) Anyway, I finished my paper in five minutes and sat there like a pro. Okay, I did check and made some amendments but there was nothing much to correct lah ('cause I'm so smart, right? *smirks*). I didn't really think twice about my answer and started doing my own stuff. After the teacher collected our papers, my friend asked me, "What did you write under current liabilities?" And I replied proudly,"Loan and creditors, of course." She shook her head wildly and said with eyes wide open, "No, loan is a long-term liability."
That was when I freaked out. I can't even score in an Accounting quiz (or FA - Fun Assessment - as my teacher calls it)? SHIT LAH. >8O
My head spun as I asked around for the answer. And unfortunately, the answer wasn't something that starts with an "L" and ends with an "N". -_- Bank overdraft was the answer, WTH. My brain stopped working at that time and didn't even thought of that. Phailed lah, Ru Min, PHAILED! After THREE years of stupid Pilihan 4 : Perdagangan dan Keusahawanan, you still can't get it, right?!! WHAT A DISGRACE! *bangs head on wall*
Darn, I feel so ashamed of myself. It's like the first time not finishing an exam paper! My coursework marks will surely be deducted. No more 100%. :'( Now I understand how my seniors failed or got 40% and below for their first Add Maths test. I feel SO bad. And sad. AND MAD. >:(
So, the moral of the story is : Never be too confident about yourself.
I shall go dig my teddy bear's glassy eyeballs now. Grr.
