"Yes?"
"Is anyone living here goes by the surname "Lim" or "Tan"?
"No."
"Eh?" *flips through a notebook and points* "Look, they say this is either the "Lim" household or the "Tan" household."
*looks at her* "But we don't go by those surnames."
"Do you speak English or Mandarin?"
"Both, but I prefer English."
"Is this your house address?" *points at some scribbles in the notebook*
*nods head* "I think you're at the wrong house. There's many [censored], [censored] 1, [censored] 2 and [censored] 3 in this neighbourhood."
"Hmm." *frowns and turns head to look at her friends in her car* "I just got bitten by that dog a few days ago." *points to my neighbour's house opposite mine*
*shock*
"Anyway, are you studying in college?"
"No, secondary school." *highly offended* (I was quite suspicious at this point.)
"Okayyy..." *skeptical look* (She doesn't believe I'm in secondary school. ==) "What form are you in?"
"Form 3." (Suspicion grows.)
"Which school are you from?"
*hesitates for a few minutes* (What? There's a lot of wolf in sheepskin around!) "Kwang Hua."
"Oh, really?" *interested* "Government or the private one?"
(I almost said, "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers." But that's rude.) "Government school."
"I see. My niece studies there, too."
*nods slowly* (Like I'm going to believe that.)
"I'm giving out this Christian magazine." *points to her car* "As we all know, everyone has problems, right? You have problems, I have them, too. But luckily, we have God here with us and we can count on Him, yes?"
*nods* (Kinda shocked to hear she's a Christian - I know, she didn't say she was but still.)
"Wait." *scurries to her car and rummages through her bag*
*stood there waiting like a fool while the people in her car kept staring at me*
"This is the magazine." *shows me a Mandarin magazine* "In here they'll explain all about Christianity. Look." *points at a title which read 'Does all Christians go to heaven after they die?' in the magazine*
*nods again*
"Alright?" *looks at me feverishly and smiles* "Here you go."
*takes the magazine slowly* (Maybe there's a bomb inside?)
"Okay, I have to go now. We'll visit you next time, alright?" *squeezes my hand*
*smiles weakly and nods*
"By the way, what's your name?"
"Uh..." (She's going to kidnap me, she's going to kidnap me, she's going to kidnap me, I thought.) "...Ru Min." *scolds myself silently for telling*
"Okay, bye!" *jumps into her car and revs off hurriedly*
SHE. IS. GOING. TO. KIDNAP. ME.
I've told her my school, which form I'm in and my name. MY NAME. HOW CAN I BE SO STUPID?!! Now I have to look out for her before and after school. I'm sure she's planning to kidnap me already. CONFIRMED. Who wouldn't kidnap someone when they've gotten all the victim's details??? Maybe they'll chop me up into millions of pieces when they've kidnapped me and sell different parts of me to different countries in the world if my parents can't afford the ransom money.
Well, at least they fulfilled my dream of going around the world.
I'm going to die. DIE. DIE. DIE.
