Blessed 14th Birthday, Chai Hui!
Yesterday, I went to GTA with Ccy, her sister and her cousins. She did NOT tell me they were going to preach in MANDARIN. That's sooo evil. Anyway, There were tons of people flooding the whole church (about 400+). During P&W, they sang all the Christmas song in MANDARIN, like "Come Let Us Adore Him" and "Joy To The World". Then, the pastor started preaching in HOKKIEN, I was like, "Oh, no..." Another youth pastor stepped up to preach in MANDARIN (that's better).
While he preached, a few youths from his church (I think) sang songs for us. Their voices were so sweet (not bad for a youth). When we closed our eyes and bowed our heads, the pastor said, "Christians, if you want to be safe, have protection, have courage to face the challenges in the year 2010..." and etc. etc. etc. "...raise up your hand. " So I raised up my hand. "If you're a non-christian, and you want to accept Christ into your life, please raise up your hand." So more people raised up their hand. I sneaked a peak at Ccy.
Her hand was raised up. *shock*
She looked at me and said, "Well, I feel weird if I'm the only one not raising my hand." I almost laughed, but I'm sure it's God's way of working through her. =) But when alter calls, she didn't wanna get out there and let the pastor pray for her. We (her auntie, her cousin and me) persuaded her to go out there but failed miserably.
After that, we had a lucky draw. I didn't get anything. -_-''' Anyway, we sang some songs and started to countdown. "10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... MERRY CHRISTMAS!" We went around shaking people's hand, saying, "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" The feeling was nice (I meant the wishing part, not the shaking people's hand part).
Then, we exchanged gift and went home. I wanted to take a picture of Ccy, but she ah... *sigh* Very fussy, indeed. So no pictures. =(
