Every second form student from our school had to be counselled. Literally. We practically crammed the whole assembly area. Those front classes were smart enough to bring along some books (to study, duh!) or whatever with them to entertain themselves. Frankly speaking, that whole session was a complete waste of time. A teacher / counsellor went up stage to give her speech, then.

"...matured...voice had gone louder...brave...argue with teachers..." I caught some of the words (was finishing my Geography homework ==). "So, today, we teachers are here to test you all about different subjects...first, Mandarin...What's the meaning of...?"

We were supposed to step forward to answer all those questions. In front of everyone every second former, and teachers, of course. As usual, the courageous (not to mention smartypants) Kah Shin was the first to answer the first question (she's always first in everything). Next, more and more students stood up to take up the challenge. Those who answered correctly was awarded with a gift (stationery); whereas those who did not, umm, they also got a gift (because of their bravery...?).

"See? Not only do you need wisdom, you need courage, too! Like these students." Our school teacher / counsellor blabbed. Whatever, I rather keep all my wisdom to myself (I know I'm selfish).

Most of the students were from the front few classes. I was surprised by the number of students who went up stage from our class, because there were none! =S Well, that doesn't mean we're cowards (does it?), or maybe we're all one big selfish family who wants to keep our wisdom to ourselves. =B There are a few people from the fillintheblanks classes, though. Salute!

Anyway, when I was chatting with my friends in the car, Wai Heng said, "You know, about the 'counselling session' just now? My whole class went, 'Sigh, those people *points at the stage* are so poor. They don't even have money to buy stationery! I wouldn't mind throwing some stationery at them since they're so desperate to get some. Hahahahaha!!!' It's not like you guys were that smart, we knew the answers, too, and were shouting them out loud below, did you not hear?"

Sweat. -_-'''

I was speechless. They said we were poor! Okay, maybe I wasn't included (hey, I did not go up stage) but they called us poor because we had the courage to go up stage and shout out the answer instead of shrieking like monkeys below? Hmm, maybe they're right. We're not filthy rich. Plus, we love freebies! Hahahaha. (seriously, I shouldn't use "we" since I did not go up stage, once again I'm repeating myself.) Well, who cares? It's just a stupid counselling session. ;]

I'm all alone, now. Not parading around my neighbourhood with lanterns this year. ='( Anyway, Happy Mid Autumn / Mooncake / Lantern Festival! =3

Oooh, pretty!
